Suna – Highly Experienced Dance, Piano and Pipe (Chinese violin) teacher North Shore

Suna is a delightful soul but also a highly experienced educator.

Suna was the Director and leading performance artist at The Cultural Centre Pty Ltd
She also was the Director, Piano Teacher and music workshop choreographer at Sunny Ale Music Education in Cairns.
She is fantastic with both young and mature students.  She was the Early Education Group Leader and music teacher
Pelican Early Learning Centre where she leading story time and music play.

She knows how to listen to your child’s cues and tailor a learning plan to you.

Suna is also a highly acclaimed gig artist, so if you would like to book her for your wedding,  birthday party or End-of-year Christmas party, she will surely make it memorable!

Classical pianist, singer, Pipa (Chinese Lute) Player, composer
and music educator. Like most Chinese children, her interest
in music developed quite early. Suna is born in a Hong Kong
middle class family with strong influences from western
culture and asked her grandfather for piano lessons at age 5.
She passed the Japanese Victor Exam board at age 16 as an
Intermediate piano and music theory teacher. Then came
second in Formosa (Taiwan) Piano Competition the same year.
At 19, she studied music in Fu-Jen Catholic University
(Taiwan), performed on TV, talent shows and taught as a lecture

for the student piano club and private education centres.
After residing to Australia since 2008, she has dedicated herself into community
activities: being the accompanist for the Cairns Junior Choral Society in 2014, regular
attendant in local music related organization such as Eisteddford, Queensland Music
Teacher Association recitals and performance art workshops, performing at many
festivals, such Atherton Music Festival and Chinese New Year Festival Cairns 2018.
She was the festival director of the Cultural Festival in 2016, Showcase in Paradise
2017, 2018 and 2019.

She was also the secretary of Queensland Music Teacher
Association earlier in 2019.

In the same year she got accepted as a mature student into
Australia Institute of Music for her Graduate Certificate and Master Degree: Art and
Entertainment Management and decided to reside to Sydney.

In 2017, she met her current Pipa (Chinese Lute) teacher, ChuYi Zhang through
performance contract request and started her journey of Fusion music journey. She
also restore a historical Act of playing Pipa backward:playing and dancing the Pipa in
the act. Her Showcase in Paradise artists group in Cairns and Musicana Duo contain
cross cultural genres: Chinese and Western classical, jazz, soft pop, indie, rock & roll,
contemporary as well as Latin music, actively performing and planning other tour
projects around Queensland and Sydney region. And currently contracted as piano
teacher with Beyond Distinction and Music Waves after school music program.
