Sandra is a gentle and caring piano tutor dedicated to Manly Vale and surrounding suburbs.
Born in Latvia, Sandra undertook piano study from the age of six. Graduating from Liepāja Music School Theory faculty in the early 1980s, she continued an intensive 5 year study at the Music Academy of Latvia, specialising in music pedagogy and conducting. Sandra has performed in various independent and professional choirs in Latvia, has been engaged professionally as a pianist and accompanist in senior and junior dance troupes, and has worked as a teacher in piano and music theory.
Residing in Sydney since 1993, Sandra actively participates in both the Latvian and wider community in Sydney. She frequently features as an accompanist in Sydney Latvian choir concerts, theatre and dance productions, and other special events. She undertakes choral teaching of primary and pre-school children in Sydney’s Latvian Saturday School, and performs as organist and pianist in Latvian and Australian churches and schools.
Sandra has a wealth of experience with children, having two of her own, and having run kids community groups as a volunteer in Sydney and also having taught in a Music School in Latvia.
She teaches children thoroughly and has an instinct to sense the pace at which they are at and the patience to integrate that into learning plans
