Olly is an experienced jazz pianist studying performance at the Sydney Conservatorium. He’s learnt from Sydney’s most experienced musicians and is keen to share his passion and knowledge on the piano with more students!
He has state-level ensemble experience, including the Arts Unit’s Jazz Orchestra as well as the NSW Schools Spectacular, and was an active member of the performing arts in high school, playing in a wide variety of orchestras and stage bands across an array of styles.
Olly also has experience in HSC Music 2 and Music Extension, majoring in performance for both and receiving first place in his course, as well as top band results in the HSC, and has a deep understanding of music theory. He additionally has AMEB qualifications, having completed Grade 8 and receiving a high distinction.
He has a positive and relaxed attitude and is looking forward to sharing his love for the instrument with others, and along with jazz is able to teach a wide variety of genres and disciplines. Having learnt from many different teachers across the Sydney music scene, he is able to adapt his teaching style to his students effectively.
